Kimmie and I took a small but exciting 24 hour adventure to New York City this week. JetBlue ran these amazing $10.00 fares and I just could not resist. She does turn 16 next week and who does not need to visit Times Square for such an important occasion? Ok, that's what I told myself as I booked the tickets. Sounded a bit fishy to my husband but he drove us to the airport anyway. Kim and I stayed inTimes Square, ate at Planet Hollywood, roamed Rockefeller Center Plaza, saw St Patricks Cathedral, visited the Statue of Liberty, bought Tshirts from a street vendor, ate a hot dog and shopped at the Herald Square Macy's. All in 24 cold and rainy hours. Fun, spontanous and exciting. Happy Birthday Kimmie!
By the way, Quixotic was on my word of the day in my Ipod. It means foolishly impulsive and spontaneous. Good word.
Will upload a few photos of Kimmie and I later. The camera card is not cooperating right now.
That sounds so cool!!! What a special memory!
