I can hardly believe another year is just around the corner. I thought it was yesterday that we were all worried that Y2K was going to mess up our computer systems and our economy (that came about 9 years later! LOL).

So here we are. Another year survived! Hooray for all of us. It has been a tough year for many of our friends. Losing jobs, homes, money and more. Yet everyone still walks into the store with a smile. Thank you for making us your happy place. We love that you visit us, share your lives with us, and make us happy to be here too. We want to keep you happy!

The 6th Annual New Year's Day sale is almost here- two days away!

Here's the 411- *We will be open regular hours- 10am-6pm. 40% off all in stock merchandise (does not include gift certificate purchases, class or crop fees, and special orders)

*We will be redeeming Frequent Shopper cards but we will not be stamping on January 1st. *We will have two registers open (one will be cash and check dedicated).

*We will keep our clearance section open, but the items will be 40% (not 50%) to expedite your checkout.

*Need a paper rack for your scraproom at home? We will be raiding our storeroom for racks we no longer need and have them on the floor for sale. Prices will be as marked, no further discount.

Rudolph at Publix and other oddities

First, you will be happy to know that the Ninth Kit of Christmas has been recaptured and is now on the blog. The Tenth has some Stickles drying and will be up soon.

But it seems that the Ninth Kit was not the only thing running wild today, read this story about a deer running into the East Lake Publix. Not a great idea running into a store that employs butchers, but it looks like Bambi will not be served for your Christmas feast!

The Ninth Kit of Christmas has escaped!

Not true, but it sounds good. Not especially motivated today so the kit is not quite done. It will be up early tomorrow along with the tenth kit (unless that escapes too!)

I hope you are having a great day. My morning was spent at Best Buy and Target (fun, not).The tree is up at the Bateman house (finally), wrapping is on the agenda tonight along with another viewing of White Christmas.

We went out to dinner with the Shoppe girls last night. Had a great time, the only problem- ordering a beer and then remembering I am on antibiotics and have to give it away. Sad, sad. I really wanted that beer too.

KIT DAY!

We are changing how we offer our weekday classes at The Scrapbook Shoppe. Since many of you are busy and would prefer to pick up your kits, we will be bringing out two kits each Friday. You will know in advance the theme and you can sign up in advance for the kits that interest you. We will also be making a few extras to put in the “kit bin”. The cost of the kits will be $15.00 if you order them in advance. $18.00 if you purchase them from the kit bin.

Wednesday, January 13^th - Beginner’s Class. Bring 5-10 related photos and we will take care of the rest. Learn about tools, color, design and adhesives. You will create a two page layout during class.  $15.00

 

Sunday, January 17^th- 10  for $25.00 one page layout class- Our popular class is back. Make 10 one page layouts in an afternoon.  This one fills up fast, call soon! $25.00. 12pm- 4pm.

 

Sunday, January 24^th- Valentine Frame and coupon book class. Join Pat and create a Frame and coupon book great for gifts! $20.00. 12pm- 4pm.

 

Sunday, January 31^st- Valentine Card, box and treat bag class with Donna. 5 cards, a clear treat box and a cute treat bag for Valentine yummies. $20.00 12pm-4pm

 

Friday Night Crop Club- January 8^th, 15^th, 22^nd, and 29^th- $15.00. One fee gets you 4 nights of cropping. We serve drinks and snacks, too! (We reserve the right to cancel and refund your fee if we have fewer than 6 participants) 6pm- 11pm (ish).

 

Saturday Crop Club- January 9^th, 16^th, 23^rd, and 30^th- $15.00. One fee gets you 4 Saturday crops. 10am- 6pm. We serve drinks and snacks.

 

New Product alert!

First and foremost-the new Basic Grey is scheduled (UPS) to arrive on Wednesday- just in time to wrap it up for your "gift from Santa". We only ordered collection packs, 6x6 paper pads, and embellishments. No open paper. We also have lots of new rhinestones coming from Basic Grey.

Little Yellow Bicycle- Sweet Notes valentines paper and embellishments are on the shelf. Very pretty pinks, hearts and more. See images below. Stop by early for best selection.

We are still having the pick your discount weekend. It's good on new product- so stop by on your way too or from the crazy mall. In fact, avoid the mall and just come here. It's better for your blood pressure.
