The world has officially stopped spinning.

OK guys, I leave town for ONE DAY to see the Rays opener yesterday and all heck breaks loose up here in Tampa. No more Derrick Brooks, are you kidding me? Really, is this some sort of a joke? Dunn too? Galloway, June and Hilliard? OMG! WTF?

If you do not know, one of my daughters attends Brooks Debartolo Collegiate High School. It has made my daughter into a self motivated, confident young woman who has college plans and takes the SAT next month. For my daughter, I could not imagine a better school. Derrick often stopped by, had his friends like Warrick stop by, and even General Tommy Franks gave a speech at Brooks. Now this. Shucks, Darn it, Dang it and all the bad words too.

New product alert

I've always wondered what a "lert" was, haven't you? Sorry, bad joke from high school. I was a geek, what do you expect? We have lots of new products and the return of some staples this week. The most welcome boxes were from Ranger. It's always a good day when Stickles is back on the shelf. We managed to replace all of the Distress Ink, Glossy Accents, Tonic scissors, Tim Holtz fragments and more from Ranger. Robin's Nest sent all of their Dew Drops. LOVE those things, they last "for-evah." New CHA stuff too. Yesterday we got the Dream Street papers with cherries and Converse tennies. Very cool, very boy, very retro, very very ME!

Also hot and on the shelf, Three Bugs in a Rug Bird-day and Snips and Snails. My Minds Eye is also here. We have the Bella French Flea Market and the Grow collections. We have always loved My Minds Eye but have not carried it in a long time. We hope you like it so we can buy more! I am pretty sure I mentioned that Jenny Bowlin products are here, but it definitely deserves to be mentioned more than once. More stuff shipping and will be here shortly (CI and BoBunny).

Email from this morning

I thought I would post part of the email I sent this morning. Tomorrow is the 20th and we have some great classes coming up in March. Also, the Treasure Hunt is March 6-15. Big Crop Signups are March 1st (Crop is May 2nd). Cruise news too. Lots going on and LOTS of new product in the Shoppe.

I just wanted to touch base with everyone and give you a heads up on some of the events we have coming up at the Shoppe. Our schedule comes out tomorrow the 20th, but I thought you would appreciate a little advance notice. The biggest item is our BIG CROP ticket sales start March 1st. If you have not been to one of our big offsite crops, make sure you head down to the Shoppe on March 1st. Ticket prices are $65.00 and worth every penny! Class news- we have added more Disney classes to our lineup next month! In addition to our Disney Ride layouts, we will be making a character page (Mickey) and a Park layout (Magic Kingdom). More exciting Disney class news to follow, including a special teacher in May doing a whole Disney book in a day! New products- I am happy to say that new products are pouring into the Shoppe each day. Check the blog for new products, new kits for sale and updates. www.thescrapbookshoppe.typepad.com.

Our cruise plans are going full steam ahead! Starting March, we will have 2 seperate crop clubs. One for our Friday night crowd and one for our Saturday day crowd. Either is $15.00 for the month of March. We will have 2 each for March due to the Treasure Hunt but hope to add one more each for April.

Updates

Boy are things heating up around here. Not only is the weather BEA-utiful, we are walking on sunshine inside the Shoppe too! We are putting out new product (Paper Loft, Moxxie, Sugartree and more), getting ready for the Treasure Hunt and making kits! Look to the Kit album on the left. Our current kits for sale are Zoo, I love school, All about a boy, A girl thing and A whale of a tale.

New MAMBI and 12 plus boxes!

We all love the great embellishments from Me and My Big Ideas. Their CHA release was way cute. I am uploading some samples I made with their new "banner" embellishments. We have over 20 different styles available. They work great with all of our paper lines- old and new! As I was writing this, the beautiful brown UPS truck pulled up with lots of boxes- including new Fiskars border punches (including Upper Crest and Apron Lace), Heidi Grace papers, Karen Foster and Colorbok. That's a lot! I think we will be busy pricing today, tonight and tomorrow!

 

 

Cruise Announcement

   

Yes, we are cruising again this year. We were going to move in a different direction this year, but the fares were too good to pass up! So here's the skinny! We have cabins on hold, but they will release if we do not get enough deposits before March 4th. If you are are a returning cruiser with the TSS girls, we will have a special gift for you onboard.

November 2-6, 2009

4 night Bahamas cruise from Port Canaveral on Royal Caribbean. Ports include Coco Cay (private beach) and Nassau. We will be on Monarch of the Seas.

Opening rate will be about $425 (inside cabin per person) and INCLUDES  3 classes, crop time, goody bag and make and take. Yes, $425 out the door. Now you know why we couldn't say no. (If you are bringing a non-cropper, take $100.00 OFF).

Since we are going across the state instead of out of Tampa, we have a bus reserved if you would like to let someone else do the driving. It's $70.00 per person. Keep in mind gas prices are on the rise and parking at the port is downright expensive. This is optional.

Special guest. Cheryl Mezzetti will be coming back down from Boston to teach one class and do one make and take on the cruise. I will be teaching the other two classes. I do not have any idea what the classes are yet. I don't know what I am doing tomorrow, yet alone November. Cheryl has taught at the Shoppe before and is the design team coordinator for one of our favorite companies, Creative Imaginations.

As usual, your cruise fee (the part we charge, not the cruiseline) will include your crop time, goody bag, precruise party, handmade nametags, door hanger, and this time it WILL INCLUDE three classes and your make and take. What a deal. We wanted to make sure that even in this economy you could afford a fun scrapping vacation. Call your friends and get your deposit in.

I don't feel blue today, I feel grey- Basic Grey!

The two brand spankin' new, hot off the press, wicked awesome collections- Marrakech and Porcelain are in the house. We are busy pricing, but want you to hurry down for the newest of the new Basic Grey. As usual, it's yummy good.

More new- sure, this Friday we got in the three new lines of Scibble Scrabble, new American Crafts and new Bazzill Just the Edge. Fun stuff here!

Today, Zack brought new Flair summer papers. Our UPS guy brought new Pebbles Inc! We have Linnie Bell and So Tweet. Stop by this weekend to say hello!

 

10 inches to Locks of Love

No, not me. I would be bald. Kimmie gave up 10 inches of her hair yesterday to donate to Locks of Love. They make wigs for children who have lost their hair to cancer and other reasons. Proud of her. It was sad to see her beautiful hair all gone, but she loves it.
