Just a note to let you know our store hours for the next few days. Our big New Years Day sale is coming up on Thursday and we are so excited you are excited! If the amount of phone calls are any indication, this is going to be a fun one. We are still "refarkling" the Shoppe in anticipation of your arrival. We think things look fresh and fun.

New Year's Eve (Macy's coupon day if you purchased one to support Kimmie's cheer squad), we will be open 10am-6pm.

Store reset, almost done- OK maybe not!

We are so excited to be moving around the store. It's going to look so fresh and new. We have "traded places" with room "a" and room "b". No easy task but we hope you will enjoy oohing and  ahhing over how we have reset everything. We got a great start yesterday and should be completely done by our big New Year's day sale. Just a forewarning, things may not be where you expected them for the sale. We like to keep you on your toes.

As a side note, just because it annoys her, Kimmie went to the movies with a boy from school Saturday night. I thought it was a date, but I guess not since he brought his brother along. He is half Filipino and I had Anna Otten call her Mom for a translation of "keep your hands off my daughter". If you ever have a need for that phrase in Tagalog, let me know. I did not get the 411 of the "date" but she did blush a few times. Not good. By the way, I am going to need the phrase for "if you don't take the stupid tags off your ballcap before you wear it, you can't date my daughter. They look stupid. I don't care if that is the style". Anna?

Happy New Year from The Scrapbook Shoppe

Our annual New Year's Day sale is Thursday from 10am-6pm. 40% off all in stock merchandise. Call your friends and family, this is one great sale!

January classes

Just a reminder that classes are up on the website for January. We have lots of fun changes to our schedule, a new "crop club" and a CHA PREVIEW party on January 31st. We love to come home and share all of the fun new goodies we saw at our biggest trade show of the year in Anaheim. Mark your calendars for a fun time- we will have refreshments, giveaways and preordering specials.

Just a hint- we have already seen some new CHA product (like SRM press stickers, SEI new lines and more). Can't wait for it to get here. SRM should be early January and SEI should be early February. Oh! Lots of  Valentine lines are starting to come in as well. I know, I know- it's too early to think about that yet. I am just letting you know it's here and more is coming. 

Snow in Vegas? and other musings.

Glad we live here in sunny FLA where the temp will probably reach 80 today- ahhhh! I was amazed to turn on the news this morning and see snow covering the Las Vegas strip. Who-da-thunk-it? You never know what mother nature, Heat Miser or Snow Miser may bring, right?

I hope everyone is almost done with their holiday shopping. I have one more trip to the mall (YUK) and all should be done. I am pretty sure I bought as much for all my daughter Kimmie's friends as I did for the "real" people on my list. Just in case my kids check out the blog (very unlikely), I will not talk about all the neat stuff I got them. Let's just say Jessica will become very familar with a killer rabbit and Kimmie will have a very pretty "Return to" necklace this year.

New stuff- The UPS man has certainly been delivering this week. I am happy that we have some new items floating in and more on order. Just a little "fluffing" as Lexi calls it. New this week- Heart of Texas albums restocked for Rays, GAtors, Seaworld and Disney. Bisous paper and chipshapes. If you are not familiar with Bisous- their paper is ready for photos. It looks embellished and is double sided. I am considering using the Shabby collection for my upcoming San Diego adventure. It's cool. Also new on the shelf- Cloud 9 Christmas and Valentines as well as our favorite- Heidi Grace Christmas, snowflake and Valentines collections. Yummy stuff. Stickles are also completely restocked. It was funny to look at the absolutely empty Stickles display after our Black Friday sale. It's comforting to know it's back in stock. Not having Stickles is like not having Diet Coke in the ice box. KWIM?

Gift Certificate Promotion

First of all, I hope you had a chance to watch the Youtube video I linked in the last post. It was really amazing. It's called the "Mom song" and it's a must see. Very clever. I have started singing the first couple of lines when I want Kimmie to get out of bed. It works, but I am sure it has everything to do with my singing ability (or lack thereof).

Also, I wanted to go over our December Gift Certificate promotion with you. It's really a great bargain. So here is the skinny-

Buy $50.00 in gift certificates and get a $20.00 gift certificate to use in February 2009.

Buy $100.00 in gift certificates and get a $50.00 gift certificate to use in February 2009.

Questions that might come up- Can you break up the amounts? Sure. You can do 10 for $10.00 each, 4 at $25.00 each, 1 for $100.00, etc. Can I get $100.00 gift certificate if I get $200.00? Yep! Why not. Can I use the promo GCs in January? No, the promo gift certificates are for February only. Holiday (re)Stockings!

Right after we recovered from the SUPER AMAZING, very crazy, long line, patient customers, midnight opening Black Friday sale, Lexi and I started to reorder to fill up the store. Happily, we have a few of those new items (and restock items) in already. The newest- The Paper Loft Home for the Holidays line. Marsha and Sandy at Paper Loft have always been great friends. We are so happy with their new papers and embellishments. The next products are from Scribble Scrabble. We have 5 new paper lines from them, YEP FIVE. We have Suzy Snowflake, Georgia, Betty, Sweet and Sour and Autumn Afternoon. They are all double sided and only .79 per sheet. Ont he reorder side, we have lots of white unibal pens restocks as well as gold ones. Great for holiday card writing.
