Spirit Benefit for Coach Gary Jimenez (with edit)

This is for those of you who know Coach Gary from Tampa Bay Allstars. Both of my girls have cheered for Gary at Tampa Bay (yes, my Jessica used to cheer many moons ago). Gary is "the godfather" of Tampa area allstar cheer. It's hard to find a cheerleader who does not know him.  Gary had a heart attack and does not have health insurance to cover the cost of bypass. Let's just not get me started about how we live in this amazing country but cannot have life saving surgery without a fundraiser.

So, if you know Gary, know someone who knows Gary, or just want to start your 2008 off with the spirit of giving, please come! I think the most important thing is to TELL everyone who may know him. Here I am posting, and I can only think that a few of you know Gary (Lisa, Lyndal, Deb) but I am hoping you know someone who knows someone who does.

Getting ready for the BIG SALE

I cannot believe it has been almost a year since the wall came down and we opened the other half of the store. Time sure does fly and so many things have happened in 2007. Each and every December I always ask where the time has gone, how did my kids get so big and are we ready for the 4th annual (4th, right?) Big Sale on January 1st?

I think the answers are- time always flies, my kids eat too much and grow too fast, and we are always ready for a sale! We hope you are too. If you are unfamiliar with our annual New Years Day sale, here is the skinny. January 1st- 10am-6pm- 40% off all in stock merchandise. There are some exclusions, but normal ones, like not valid on crop and class fees, not valid on gift certificate purchases, not valid on clearance merchandise, or special orders. Also, we do not stamp cards at our sale, but we are happy to redeem full cards this day. Come early, get in line and hang out! We will have snacks and drinks outside waiting for you.

This is a fun day, come enjoy the New Year with us! Hint- we usually have two lines for checkout, if you bring cash or a checkbook, the line is usually shorter and faster! We will also have the "hold area" for when your basket gets too full, you can have us hold your product and fill it up again!

Took a roll of film on Christmas day, I thought you would enjoy the 4 wheeling photos! So unlike me, I know. It's always good to try something new.

The Christmas Force was with me!

It was not Yoda strength force or anything, but I did find some! Christmas was fun. Jessica made us Christmas brunch and we pulled out the china and Waterford. We unwrapped presents, went to the inlaws, road a 4 wheeler (my first time, fun), ate dinner, and saw National Treasure. All in all a good day.

Merry Grinchmas! I mean Christmas, really I do.

  Just a note to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Thanks to all who have brought in goodies and treats- once again, the sweet nature of scrapbookers (friends) overwhelm us. The cookies, the cookies, the candies, the Wrights, the cookies, the spa visits, the ornaments, the cards, the pretzels covered with chocolates are all so amazing. Did I mention the cookies? They are ALL delicious. Thank you. Our customers are just so special. You are the reason we get up, throw on our black tshirt and jeans and unlock the doors. Thank you all so much.

That being said, I am just not "there" yet. The Christmas spirit has not hit me this year. I am waiting, I am hoping. Shame on me, I did not even put up a tree yet. The presents are not wrapped and I  am suffering through hours of Christmas Carols at the shoppe. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, I need the Christmas Force! I have actually been in a rotten mood, hence the Grinchmas title. I can't blame anyone for not wanting to work with me. I have been prone to fits of  crying (very unusual) and even just not talking (very, VERY unusual). Not sure why I have the "blahs", but I am hoping that tonight is the NIGHT for a little Christmas spirit. Wish me luck.

We are "tinkered pink" to announce-

That Kezia from Tinkering Ink will be our guest teacher on Sunday, January 20th.

Tinkering Ink is a cool, modern, hot and trendy paper company. You will enjoy a whole afternoon of creativity using their paper lines Botanical Bliss and their new Beloved!

There will be 2 classes- 12pm-2pm- Botanical Bliss cards with a neat card holder, $20.00. The second class is from 3pm-5pm. It will be an altered project using the Beloved line, also only $20.00. If you sign up for both classes, we will include lunch and a goody bag. Now that's a great afternoon of paper crafting! Make sure you call and sign up, space is limited!

We have made some very FABULOUS gift baskets for holiday gift giving. They would make great gifts for beginners, your scrapping friends, and even yourself! Great cheer day, great sale day

Apparently yesterday was a great day all the way around. Lexi says everyone had fun at the sale yesterday. Brad and I had a blast in Orlando. We actually had "date night" because Kimmie went home with her friend Rosie. We did a little Christmas shopping and had a nice dinner (complete with a festive Gingerbread Martini) at Outback. Kimmie's team kicked booty yesterday. The routine was amazing and they not only won their division, they won level 3 champions and one other award. So proud of her. I am so proud that I am going to post a few photos!

Three times the fun!

I guess we have a few "screws loose" around here. It looks like we sent out three emails last night- all the same- to everyone on our email list. I suppose we really, really, really (get it, three times) wanted to make sure you know about our 12 Days specials this weekend. If you got a few too many emails, we are so sorry. I know I hate all that junk email, but it's not junk if it's from us!

Onto other things, we have actually been ordering a few new things. Some of our manufacturers are doing a "preshow" release and we should have some new items rolling in soon. We will keep you posted when items arrive.

More cheerleading. After last weekend, we are heading to Orlando this Saturday for competition. We will also be staying late to do some Christmas shopping. If I am lucky I will end up at the Millenia Mall for a little Dylan's Candy Bar treat at Bloomies. If not, then I am heading for the outlet mall! (My husband will probably go with choice 2) Kimmie's team did not win last week, but they looked good. I had not seen the whole routine yet and I really liked it. Since it was the first competition, I think they looked great. I will let you know how they did. We are also heading towards New Orleans in January for cheer competition. I was going to go, but it looks like we have a guest teacher that weekend, so I will be here. Guest teacher?  Really? I wonder who it could be? You will find out on December 20th- or maybe before! I love the whole suspense thing.
