Toot! Toot! Toot!

Now arriving at Track 2, Tampa station! It's the praise train for Catherine Feegel-Erhardt and Heather Preckel. Is your name spelled correctly, Catherine? There is a reason we call her Catherine "no last name", it's because I can't ever spell it right. Mean to, try to, just never happens.

Catherine has LOTS and I mean lots of layouts and projects in the new Ask the Masters book that hit the shelf yesterday. There are layouts that I saw her working on, a charm braclet that she loves and so much more! Congrats Catherine! As if that was not enough excitement, Miss Heather has the COVER of the new Memory Makers magazine that arrived yesterday.

Wow ladies, I am super proud to know ya! Heather just sent me an email about teaching classes the day we get back from the cruise in November. If you have not met her, she is the sweetest thing and "uber" talented. Look for more info soon on that!

   

Anna Griffin classes

We can't believe how great our class sign ups have been going for the upcoming Debby Schuh classes in October. The Beach layout is sold out (however you can pay for a kit and we will save you one).  The Holiday mini album has ONE spot left, grab it while you can. And I am posting one page of the class sample for the Pageframe class(it will be a doublepage with a frame included. This would be great for weddings, prom and heritage photos. Black and white is so hot right now, how can you resist? We have a few seats left for this and then we are filled to the max! I am sure that Debby will be thrilled. Inque Boutique!

Our first shipment of the new Inque Boutique products have just hit the shelves. We love this company! Nice people, great and innovative products and wonderful service. They have really outdone themselves to bring new stamps (geared towards scrappers) to the market. I have added a few images to the blog (hooray for me!) and there are many more in store. INCLUDING lots of $1.00 stamps that are awesome.

Here it is, my attempt at figuring out how to save and post images to the blog. Yep, I did have this figured out at home (that computer has seen better days) and now I think I figured it out on this new one at work. So, I am going to post some of the new EK Success pre-made albums we have in stock. These are all done and ready to go. Makes a great gift with much less work and headache. Cross your fingers and hope you see an image below.

What a crazy week!

The store was busy all week long, the school routine is taking shape (all 104 miles of it daily) and Jessica is starting to get some community service hours under her belt. I guess I am going to date myself here, but who would have thought that getting into college starts so early. I got into all my top choices without a gazillion service hours, recommendation letters from presidents and a 12.78 GPA. Poor Jessica, this road is not going to be easy. But she is starting the year off right and is making great choices. It is wonderful to see her (and her newly dyed red hair) so happy. Kimmie, as usual, is going with the flow. She is so easy going, I am starting to get concerned that she has been dropped too many times on her head at cheerleading. Just kidding.

Back to the busy store, we have managed to get out lots of new products and more has shipped. We are expecting more Creative Imaginations, a reorder of Cosmo Cricket and more this week. I am still trying to get used to the new computer and hopefully this week I will figure out how to post photos. Please forgive me if I don't figure it out. And don't forget our big clearance sale this weekend. Lots of newly marked down merchandise (it's gotta go somewhere, how about your house?).

New Crop in Style totes

I was trying to find an image to upload from the internet to show you these cool new totes from Crop in Style. They are quite pretty in red, black and cream (remember that Foofala collection, it's that pattern and style). We have a Navigator, paper taker, tote and tool caddy. Pretty neat! Lexi and I usually don;t buy storage stuff until the holidays, but these were too cool to pass up! If I find an image I will upload it. If you all find one first, email me the link! Thanks!

Congrats Ellerbe and Shayna!

Just a quick note to brag on our part timers, Ellerbe and Shayna. Ellerbe made the varsity cheerleading squad at Plant High School. We are proud of you! Our other part timer, Shayna, attends Robinson and made the Volleyball team AND the Yearbook staff. A big shout out to Shayna too!

Did I mention I was the Yearbook editor at Robinson back in 19__?

Routine

I like my routine. I have certain things I do at certain times. The Earth spins correctly on it's axis when my routine goes according to plan. Yesterday, the Earth did not spin correctly and I about lost my mind! Let's start with my new routine. It involves waking up at about 5:30am and leaving the house at 6:30am to take the girls to school. Jessica now attends Brooks Debartolo Collegiate High School (16 miles from our house) and Kimmie is still at Trinity. Yesterday morning, I had taken the girls to school and was already at the Shoppe by 7:50am. Great, this is wonderful. NOT! Phone call from Kim says she cannot go to class until I fill out and sign some paperwork. So I  haul my cookies back down to Trinity at 8:30am. Still OK, it's the 20th (class sign up day and it gets busy at the store) but I will be back in plenty of time. NOT, again. Another parent picks up my car keys at school. It was a mistake, but does it matter? I am stuck at school. Nobody is being cooperative (read, "Hey lady, we could care less that your keys are missing"). I managed to get a ride back to the store and by this time my day was ruined. Someone did return the car keys. So we do not have re-key the store or house. Poor Brad had to drive me back to Trinity to pick up my car. You know, I thought that today it would be funny, but it's still not!

To bring it into perspective, I realize that we could be in the middle of a terrible Hurricane if the weather conditions were different. So I guess it could always be worse. I am only out some gas and some time! But it's still not funny.

And the Winner is...

First, thanks for visiting last week. We had lots and lots of entries for our basket drawing. Of course, the basket is Lime Green and Blue (of course) and filled with all kinds of goodies. Also, the class schedule is on the website and we are ready for sign ups. Great classes for September, lots of crops too! Later today I will go over the disaster that was my morning. At 10:36am I was tired, cranky, exhausted and frustrated. LONG story, I am hoping it starts to sound funny later on, but not quite yet.

Late Night and Pizza

Saturday was hectic! Lots of new product, lots of customers, loads of croppers! Brad (best husband ever), Jessica, Kimmie and I are making a late night of it. We ordered a few pizzas, put on the Elvis CD and have been getting some work done. The big room is looking so different with new product, We have managed to get our Hambly, Luxe, Tinkering Ink, The Paper Loft and I have been working on Cloud 9 and Heidi Grace.

We also have the new QK ready for Tuesday. This is a great release. I know, I know, we say that all the time, but dang if it isn't true! Our QK rep (Chris, aka Cutie Patootie) called us from vacation last week just to say hello! He was at Lake Powell (a flooded canyon like Lake Mead) and knows how much I love it. I am happy he gets a vacation, his job is not easy! So, in honor of Chris, stop by Tuesday and see the new QK!
